As a longtime advocate of fiscally conservative principles and an avid leader and supporter of Republican organizations, Susan Sweeney has been actively involved as a taxpayer advocate. In 2012 Susan successfully secured the GOP nomination for State Representative in District 55 as a write in candidate.
Previously, Susan had been client manager with IBM specializing in advising small businesses. She currently works as a teaching assistant for special needs students in our local school district.
Given this experience and her desire to streamline government with fresh fiscally sound ideas, she is well suited to represent Maine Township as a Trustee.
Susan has lived in Park Ridge over 40 years, attended St. Paul of the Cross, Maine South, and graduated with a B.S. from the University of Illinois. She and her three children have been active members in the Maine Township Community.
